Imagine you are on the road and then suddenly you wonder what is there to do tonight? is there a dance somewhere? is the band I like, playing anywhere tonight? did anyone post a reply to my last message on the message board? then it hits you, darn, I dont have my laptop with me to check all these out and I am not going home yet! Fear not the power of Web 2.0 (two point o) is here to help. This is the power of the new internet! With the flip of your cellphone, you can check all these out and ring someone to see if they have plans!
So what is Web 2.0? There is a lot of debate about what this really is but in my point of view it is the new internet revolution. Google, Flickr, MySpace, YouTube, Wikipedia have all started it but have only touched the tip of the iceburg. I am no web guru but I can sense this is going to be big! You ask, how will this technology help me? Well if someday I can get the CPASwing board all wired up, you will be able to link from you cell phone (provided you have upgraded to one that can link to the internet) to the daily calendar of events and the message board RSS feed (already used in CPASwing cafe main page). You will be able to not only see but also post events and messages or even join a live chat room. The real nice thing is all this is becoming really easy to do. Stay tuned Web 2.0 is here!
